NaPoWriMo: Woe is We

Woe is the begotten child
Of betrayal and promises
Made to others
Or simply our mirror
We can  always give birth to our own
Anguish
Or we can choose to adopt it
We can cast it aside to become orphaned pride
But we must never let others become single
Parents of hardship
After all, it takes a congregation to raise
Jealousy and hypocrisy
O, woe is We who nurse negativity at our breast
