Speak Low if You Speak Love

Sweet lady! Steel hearts would sooner melt in mine hands
Than slander one so, he does lack manner not favors
Your beauty above all earthly praise
It has driven him to speak with envy,
‘Thou wonderest though how could a hummingbird
Derive such sweet honey from a canker blossom?’
Snakes fear the truth while they hiss doubt
Scorned thee death, under mantillas we wept
Now Hush, we’ll console ourselves with this small virtue
For us two merry souls fit like a glove
Our wit hath no other match, tis so, tis true
And Sweet lady, I pray harken with my ear
Speak low if you speak love!

AER: I was delighted to find this little thing hiding on my hard drive earlier.
